Changing the Default Margins in MS Word
Windows
Open a new blank document
Click File > Page Setup, then click the Margins tab.
Under Margins, change the margins to your desired settings.
Click the Default button after you select new margin settings.
Click Yes
All new documents should have the new margin settings.
Mac
Open a new blank document.
Click Format > Document...
Set the margins to your desired default settings.
Click the "Default..." button. A window shown below will open. Choose Yes.
Click OK
All new documents should open with your new margin settings.
